Why waste time in protecting me, O Merciful Lord! I believed You totally; You alone are my refuge; O Lord with the splendour of dark-blue rain-cloud! O Lord whose majesty is incomparable! O Virtuous Lord! O Lord reclining on Sesha – the serpent - praised by this Thyagaraja!

[edit] References

  • 1 raghu vaMza nAtha - Please refer to Sthala Purana of Sri Rangam – [Sri Rangam]

[edit] Commentary

  • 2 paGkajA – In the books, this has been translated as ‘Lakshmi’. As per Sanskrit Dictionary, this word means ‘mud-born’ or ‘lotus’. There seems to be no proof that this word would refers to Lakshmi.
