Having suffered a lot in the midst of people who could not withstand others’ excellence, I have come to behold Your divine form and Your chest with pearl necklaces shining therein. [edit] Variations
- 1zAyi - zAyI

[edit] References
- 4sAraGga dharuDu – In the episode at Daruka Vana, as Bhikshatana, Lord Siva acquires deer (antelope). [Daruka Vana]
- 5jUci kailAsAdhipuDu – the exact location of this episode is to be traced.

- For Ranganatha Ashtakam of Adi Sankaracharya, - [Ranganatha Ashtakam]
[edit] Commentary
- 3 Oyanucu – O + anucu - The method of responding when called by some one.
- 4 sAraGga – name of bow of Lord Vishnu also – hence Saranga Pani; however, it is not relevant here.
- 6zrI lOla – the word ‘lOla’ actually means ‘a person who is in love head over heals’. This is a ridicule of the Lord that He has forgotten His duties (of protecting His devotees).
- 7kAna vacciti – I came to behold – This is to be contrasted with the statement of Anupallavi wherein Sri Thyagaraja states that Lord Siva became the Lord of Kailasa by beholding Him.
