  • 2paJca pApa – Sri Thyagaraja probably means paJca mahA pAtaka. paJca mahA pAtaka – killing a Brahmana, drinking intoxicating liquors, theft, committing adultery with the wife of a religious teacher, associating with anyone guilty of these crimes. (Source – Monier’s Sanskrit Dictionary);
