  • 3narakAntaka – also knowan as Bhaumasura was slayed by Sri Krishna. Please refer to Srimad Bhagavatam, Book 10, Chapter 59. Please visit web site for a brief of the story - Narakasura

[edit] Commentary

  • General - As per remarks available in some books, this Kriti is believed to be not written by Sri Thyagaraja, but sung by certain lineage of his disciples.
  • 1tri-bhuvana – Heaven, Earth and Nether World.
  • 4aja nata tyAgarAja – the word ‘nata’ may be attached to ‘aja’ to mean ‘saluted by Brahma’; in such case, ‘tyAgarAja’ may be joined to pallavi as ‘tyAgarAja gAna mUrtE’ – Embodiment of the music of Thyagaraja’.
