- 9aga mardana – ‘aga’ - also means ‘snake’. If, in the present context, it is translated as ‘snake’, it will mean ‘Lord Krishna who danced on the head of snake Kaliya’. This may also be correct because according to the legend of the temple, Vivishnu obtained the discus after worshipping the Lord here.
