[edit] Commentary
- Various forms of the word sarasamu ("beauty") are commonly used in Varnams: sarasuDu (noun, "handsome (man)"), sarasagu (adverb, "beautifully").
- The bahuvrIhi compound sarasija-nAbha literally means "Lotus-navel." It refers to Vishnu, from whose navel emerged the lotus which contained Brahma.
